After months of playing in his salt lake rec league, and playing in his ward b-ball team, and being the ONLY boy without basketball shoes, we decided it's high time to buy some b-ball shoes.
Tonight I went and bought them for him - he came home to see this:

No more being an outcast and wearing dorky shoes!!
What a great surprise! He was a good sport to hold off until now. Let him know that we expect BIG things now that he has the proper shoes to slam those bball dunks with.
