Tuesday night James, me and our friend who is a mechanic went to go look at a truck for James to buy (we were looking for fun)
(This is not the truck we looked at - i just thought it was funny.)

It was $5000 and had low miles so we thought - why not? What a deal!




Boy were we wrong! We had a good laugh.

We meet the man selling the truck in a subway parking lot and greet the two hispanic dudes. We have our mechanic friend look at the brakes, engine, everything. Calvin, our mechanic friend, looked under the hood of the car and points out to the man selling the car "It looks like this car has been in an accident. And the car has been painted red."

The little man gets defensive and kind of blows up at Calvin. "No i guarantee it hasn't been in an accident! I guarantee!"

We go on to take the car for a test drive. The transmission is about to fall off the car. The gas light is on. We start to piece the puzzle together. This little hispanic guy has stolen this truck, spray painted the hubcaps black where there used to be rims, painted the car red (including the door handles) and has driven this car til it runs out of gas and just wants to sell it.

We have a good laugh inside the car, then return it to the two men. James comments on the transmission needing to be replaced and the guy explodes again and we say goodbye. As we all pile into our car to go home, Calvin puts a nut or screw in James's hand and says, "Here is a little souvenier from our bizarre truck experince. These nuts fell off the hubcaps as the men PEEL OUT of the parking lot."
